Acceptable Print Policy

Acceptable Print Policy
Print Genie acknowledges that a perfect print result cannot be guaranteed due to the inherent mechanical and material variations in the printing process.
This policy defines the acceptable production tolerances for printed materials and specifies the circumstances under which a reprint may be granted.
Note:
This Acceptable Print Policy applies only to single-sheet printed products (loose sheet items).

It does not apply to the following product categories:
 • Large Format Printing (e.g., banners, posters, signage)
 • Sublimation Printing (e.g., mugs, apparel, and promotional merchandise)
 • Collated or bound products (e.g., booklets, catalogues, magazines, or multi-page documents)

1. Colour Discrepancy
Standard
For CMYK process printing, colour variations within 10% tolerance of the intended colour are considered acceptable. Variations may also occur between separate print runs.
Qualifies for Reprint If
The colour variation exceeds 10%, based on our internal CMYK colour reference standards.

2. Spot UV Registration
Standard
For finishing processes such as:
 • Spot UV
 • Hot Stamping
 • Die Cutting
 • Embossing
a positioning tolerance of up to 0.5 mm is considered acceptable due to mechanical alignment.
Qualifies for Reprint If
The positioning shift or offset exceeds 0.5 mm.

3. Dirty Spots
Standard
A single dirty spot within a 5 cm² area is acceptable if the spot diameter is smaller than 0.5 mm.
Qualifies for Reprint If
Either of the following occurs:
 • Two or more dirty spots appear within a 5 cm² area, or
 • A single dirty spot exceeds 0.5 mm in diameter

4. Bubbling (Lamination)
Standard
Small bubbles caused during lamination are acceptable if they are smaller than 0.5 mm in diameter.
Qualifies for Reprint If
Any single bubble exceeds 1 mm in diameter.

5. Colour Consistency within Batch
Standard
Minor colour variation within the same production batch is acceptable if the difference between copies falls within 10% tolerance.
Qualifies for Reprint If
Colour variation between copies exceeds 10%.

6. Trimming Registration
Standard
Trimming alignment may shift slightly during the cutting process. A trimming offset of less than 1 mm is considered acceptable.
Qualifies for Reprint If
The trimming offset exceeds 1 mm.
